Participants will demonstrate the ability to:

  • Establish and document policies for employees.

  • Maximize compliance of salaries to work schedules.

  • Perform specific analyses of oral-motor issues.

  • Create effective word lists for increases in speech clarity.

  • Run their businesses so that they function to maximize profits.

  • Structure Early Intervention for profitability.

  • Identify the roles of clinical host and home visitor partnering with parents as intervention agents.

  • Identify situations that could cause conflict and a loss of confidence or behavior changes in themselves and others.

  • Discuss the different styles and strengths of co-workers.

  • Develop a personal action plan for motivating themselves and others.

  • Enroll in Medicare as an individual or group practice.

  • Discuss fundamentals of coding, billing, and documentation requirements.

  • Describe the insurance appeal process.

  • Identify esophageal disorders that contribute to dysphagia.

  • Demonstrate understanding of treatment options for GERD.

  • Identify different signs and symptoms of voice disorders.
