Lora Nalberczinski is an ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist and is the Owner/Director of The Speech and Language Center, PLLC, since 2007.
She holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from James Madison University. She is a member of AAPPSPA. Lora has been practicing since 2000,
with experience working with children and adults in the schools and private settings, as well as home health, skilled nursing facilities, and outpatient therapy centers.
Lora has guest lectured at Bridgewater College and James Madison University. She enjoys regularly supervising Speech Pathology students. Lora received the ACE award from ASHA in 2011.
Lora has been named one of the top 10 under 40 Business Professionals in the second annual Shenandoah Valley Business Journal in 2014. In her spare time, she enjoys time with her husband,
two children (Emmett and Addie) and dog (Marley). They disappear to the beach any chance they get.
Having a multidisciplinary therapy practice can be rewarding, but also challenging. There are many considerations to take into account when making the decision to grow your practice this way.
We will go into detail on the various disciplines including but not limited to: OT, PT, ABA, Counseling, Audiology, Psychology, Music Therapy, and Nutrition. Considerations for each will
include space utilization, equipment, credentialing, coding, billing, scheduling, licensing, regulations, budgeting, marketing, and more. Effective management is critical to the success of
any multidisciplinary team. Participants will come away with various ways to develop and communicate a vision, supervise other disciplines, and provide meaningful feedback. A variety of methods
to unify the multidisciplinary team such as meetings, recognition programs, and many more, will be discussed.
